Low Dam, Hole No 5, Par 4

Local Knowledge

A good hole with a well-defined tee-shot into a wide expanse of fairway - with two bunkers and thick rough to the leftand Hareshaw Burn to the right. However, it presents a blind second shot against a backdrop of trees.

They give you a line, but no clue at all of distance to the flag. To make things worse, to the right of the green is a large ravine, only too happy to swallow anything loose, and affording only a difficult pitch back onto the putting surface. Theres also a bunker at the left front to prevent anyone from cutting the corner by going left up the ninth fairway.
