Button's Tumble, Hole No 4, Par 3 |
YardageWhite - 120 / Yellow - 116 / Red - 103 Local KnowledgeIt may only be 120 yards long, but it is the one of the holes most feared by visitors because of the multiplicity of troubles which surround it, having negotiated the steep drop in terrain. It is vital that your wedge shot lands on the putting surface, having achieved plenty of height to prevent the ball from running into the fence which circles the back of the green. Many cards have been ruined by balls hitting the fence or by shanked shots drifting into the neighbouring allotments. Its a simple shot, technically its just the surrounding hazards which generate the intimidation.
