The Pond, Hole No 16, Par 4 |
YardageWhite - 428 / Yellow - 382 / Red - 378 Local KnowledgeThis is a 428-yard hole, dog legged to the left through a flat stretch of ground with a slope to the left and a stone wall to the right along with a pond. High handicappers aim for the neck of the fairway they can see from the tee, but this leaves a very long second shot. The bigger hitters try to cut the corner, landing the ball on the slope to get a run down leaving them only an eight-iron to the green. The green is hard to hit being very narrow, with a bunker to the left and another to the right. Anything short may stick while anything on or near the front may shoot through.
